Lunchtime joy

Yesterday I got in my car and just started driving. Driving where? I didn't know until I reached a destination. There is this great place in Old Town Helena not too far from my office. I grabbed my bible, got out of my car and sat next to the water on some lush green grass (yes, I was wearing my work dress and got a little dirty, but no biggie). 

 

                           I listened to the water pour from the top of the fall to the bootom.

I watched the little waves gently crest along the rocks.

I gazed at the clouds in the sky. I read the Lord's word and remembered that ther is always, always, always something to be thankful for.

And as my lunch hour rolled to a close, I picked myself up, walked back to my car, stopped in La ReUnion coffee shop for a good southern cup of sweet tea, smiled and thanked God for his creations.

Easter

For Easter weekend, Stephen and I went down to Mobile to see the family. It was wonderful spending some actual time with them after all the wedding-ness. We picked up the remaining furniture we had ordered for the bedroom and bought a couch too! Mom and I went to some stores and finished up some wedding credit spending which was of course super exciting!

We exchanged Easter baskets before we left - Stephen got some fun goodies - basketball hoop for the closet door, African Classic coffee (his favorite from O'Henry's) and yummy in your tummy chocolate.

I got some delicious candy and a new ESV bible with my new name on it!!!!

Honeymoon in the Caribbean

Stephen and I went to Montego Bay in Jamaica for our honeymoon. Oh man, it was gorgeous and so relaxing. We arrived Sunday night after our 1.5 hour flight to Charlotte and our 3 hour flight to Jamaica. We stayed at the Sandals Royal Caribbean right in Montego Bay for 6 days. It took us a little bit to get used to the fact that it was all inclusive (I mean, its unusual to walk away for a fancy restaurant without paying), but we loved the scenery, the restaurants, the room service, the pools, the private island, etc. I am so glad we went. Stephen and I both took pictures down there. Here are just a few of them.
