Getting back in the groove and starting over

Hi dear bloggy friends:)

This week, I am out of town for my grandfathers funeral and enjoying some time with my precious family. It was a crazy month is April and I feel like once the funeral is over, life might actually start falling back into normal routine. :)

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been taking on more and more babysitting and absolutely loving it! Some of you might think I am nuts, quitting my corporate job in January and deciding to simplify my life and taking up babysitting but it has truly been incredible to see how God has worked in both my husband and my life.

I have had the most incredible outpouring from all you and I don't think I can thank each of you enough for your prayers, kind emails, texts and whatnot. Thank you friend, thank you!!!

This week I am planning to get back in the swing of blogging - last week I had some serious blog reading to do to catch up on all you ladies lives. And boy, I had missed A LOT. Yalls schedules are just as insane as mine - and honestly I'm glad I am not the only one with a crazy life.

Anyway, after reading post after post, there was a blog posting that struck a chord in me.

My dear friend Lauren over at Simply Free wrote last week on why she blogs . I originally blogged (years and years ago) to keep my family and friends who lived out of town updated on my life. The blog eventually fell by the wayside and was picked back up near the end of the my career at my old company when I was horribly miserable and I needed a short escape from the headache it was.

After blogging again for a couple of months, I realized I had gotten a little lost on why I was blogging int he first place. Being gone for almost a month, I realized I was way off base on why I was blogging and wanted to get back on track. I want to blog to share Christ, to share the ups and downs of marriage, live life with new and old friends, and share some the things I am passionate about.

I have read so many girls write this same type of blog post before and I am sad I have to as well, but I'm glad I finally recognized what and why I was doing it and excited for a fresh new start:) Thanks for bearing with my thru it all and I can't wait to restart this journey with you!

I hope you each have a happy Monday and pray that the Lord bless you and keep you, and may His face shine brightly upon you!!

  1. I had this same realization this month, my friend! I saw that I was trying to take my blog in a direction that really wasn't what I wanted and I'm working now to get it on a track that I'm excited about. Thanks for sharing your heart and I'm excited to have you back! :)
